Solo (quarter 2)

My book was called “Solo” by Kwame Alexander. I liked it a lot, It was a really good book. There was a lot of drama happening throughout the story. It was in a poem looking form but it was like a normal book, the same story, it goes smoothly, just like you’re reading a normal book. But it looks like a poem. There’s 457 pages in the book, but i think the reason it has so many pages is because it’s set up in a poem sort of way. But the book goes by really fast if you’re reading everyday. It took me about 1 or almost 2 weeks to finish it.

The book was about a boy he was 18 Years old his name is Blake. He grew up with a father who was a drug addict and a alcoholic, his mother passed away when he was little. So it was just him and his sister storm growing up. He has a girlfriend but something crazy happens, read to find out!!! Later in the book he finds out about a family secret, it’s a really big deal. It’s basically what makes the book so good. So if you want to find out that secret you’re going to have to read the book to find out. What makes the book so different from other is, you can relate to it. What I mean is your mother could’ve passed away when you were little or you had to grow up with an alcoholic as a father. It could be relatable to anyone, and that’s what makes me like it even more.

There’s a lot of drama throughout the book. But that’s what makes it so good. It makes you want to see what’s going to happen to Blake or to everyone else is the story. I really recommend it, especially if you like drama and poems. It’s easier to read too. There’s nothing really to say about the book, it’s just so good and it’s, just you need to read it to understand how good it is. For me I rate it a 10/10. It was that good and I’m really picky when it comes to reading books.

Also there’s a sad ending which you really need to know so you HAVE to read the book to find out.

Being dead (quarter 1)

My reading book was called “Being Dead” by Vivian Vande Velde. I like it a lot. The book was about scary short stories about ghosts all in one book. Most of the chapters endings got me so mad because they just left me hanging. What I mean by that is they don’t tell you what happens next. But other than that I highly recommend the book. Especially if you like spooky things like ghosts.

To me the saddest story in the book is when this girl had cancer and her name is Emily. She wasn’t going to make it but she had until spring. It was the last day that the museum was open, Emily cried and started calling the ghosts name and one of the employees found her and called her dad and they got into the argument and Emily ran outside. It’s winter and she had no sweater or coat. She ran into the woods and... In the end of the chapter it said... (you have to read the book to find out what happens next)

Another one I liked was probably the shortest chapter. It was about a man who lost his wife. By lost I meant she passed away. Then he said “if only I had one last dance with her I’ll dance till sun rise” then they heard knocking on the door. He finally opened the door and.... (read the book to find out)

But the whole book was like stories like those and I really liked it. It wasn’t that long to read if you read as much as you can a day. Plus it will catch your attention if you like books about ghosts. To be honest in the first couple pages of the book was so good that it got me  hooked and made me want to read a lot.

10 years from now

in 10 years I'm going to live with my best friend. I'm also going to have a job and be an  architect (design Houses). I also want a side job as a babysitter because I love kids but I don't want babies/kids but at the age of 23. I don't want any of my own that soon. Since I will have a main job and the side job as a babysitter I should have a lot of money. I was thinking I want to live in Florida but i might stay here in Berwyn for my family. In ten years wherever I chose to live I'm planning on getting a husky, pit bull, and a German shepherd. The Huskys name is going to be July, the pitbulls name is going to be donut, and the German shepherds name is going to be Ladybug. Hopefully In ten years I'm expecting to be happy especially if everything goes the way I  planned it. After I'm over with my 20's and either in my early or late 30's with no kids I want to live life, and by that i mean i want to travel the world. I want to go to all 50 states or at least try to.

First time on the Goliath

It was a cold windy night. It was raining on and off. We went on all the rides at Six flags except for the Goliath. So we decided to ride it, We waited in line for about 30 mins. The whole way there I was begging to get off. But six flags was my favorite place on earth. So I had to go on the Goliath.

As soon as we were about to get on. I turned to see my sister,I can still remember how terrified she looked. My sister went by herself because I didn't wanna go alone. So I got on the ride with my stepbrother. the moment we started going up, here came the rain. These two guys behind me and my stepbrother screams "the ride is getting wet, we're all going to fall out".

as my face got wet from the rain, I sat there crying saying I'm scared. My stepbrother finally confessed he was scared too. While there's only one bar to hold onto on the Goliath my hand kept slipping cause the rain got it all wet. We reached the top after what felt like hours of just going straight up. I asked my brother if I should close my eyes, he agreed and did the same. Then we dropped.. all I remember was hearing people scream. While I thought I was going to fall out my heart skipped a beat. When the ride was over my eyes were still closed. We then got off and left six flags.

In my opinion it wasn’t worth the wait, but if you like getting scared or Frightened then the Goliath is just the ride you want to get on.
